Documenti Drive ISI-CNV — corpus Di Pisa:

Linea di trasmissione documentata: Donato (Parigi-Bruxelles 1880) → Regazzoni / Lafontaine in Italia → Maestro Dante Caravelli (Firenze) → Prof. Erminio Di Pisa (Roma) → Marco Paret (ISI-CNV).

This page documents the therapeutic applications taught by Erminio Di Pisa in his book L'Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta and integrated into the Paret Method through the ISI-CNV courses.

The fundamental principle stated by Di Pisa: in psychosomatic disorders, the body's functionality is always influenced by the patient's emotional state. Hypnosis acts on this mind-body connection directly and effectively, often in just a few sessions.

The working document of the ISI-CNV courses ("Magnetism for balance and harmony") summarizes the map of applications:

  • Neuromuscular pains and tensions, arthritis, tinnitus → Metodo Di Pisa
  • Alcoholism → Metodo Di Pisa (hypno-magnetic)
  • Smoking → Metodo Di Pisa + Metodo Campanelli (dual approach)
  • Emotional problems → Quantum magnetic method
  • Sexual problems → Metodo Benemeglio

1. Quitting smoking — Metodo Di Pisa

Di Pisa's method for smoking is structured in four sessions: three consecutive and one follow-up after a month.

Protocol structure:

  • Preliminary assessment interview
  • First session: induction and initial suggestions
  • Second and third sessions: deepening, same pattern
  • Daily contact the first week, three times the second, twice the third
  • Fourth follow-up session after a month

Post-session phone contact is not optional: "This type of monitoring serves to strengthen the will to resist smoking as a post-hypnotic reinforcement of the suggestion."

The text of the suggestions from the book:

"Your unconscious has an enormous capacity for control and will reduce your continuous desire to smoke, eliminating it quickly forever... for life... You will no longer feel the desire to smoke... Your mind has enormous control over your body and will block any desire to continue a vice that tires your lungs with every puff of smoke you inhale, making your heart work harder than normal, wearing out these vital organs. You will no longer desire cigarettes... You will be happy to quit such a harmful habit for your health... You will no longer smoke... never again... for life... never again!"

It concludes with the taste hallucination. Average number of sessions: four.

Di Pisa's fundamental principle: "The depth of trance is never directly proportional to the effectiveness of the treatment." Deep somnambulism is not necessary to achieve real therapeutic results.

The dual ISI-CNV approach: Di Pisa + Campanelli

In the ISI-CNV course "Method for Smoking — Total Liberation" the two methods are integrated:

  • Metodo Di Pisa: structured hypnotic approach in 4 sessions with specific suggestions, reinforcement contact, taste hallucination
  • Metodo Campanelli: magnetic approach in a single very brief session (50 seconds), based on specific touches (nape, neck, sternum, arms, hands) with mesmeric-magnetic technique

Vincenzo Campanelli — a Roman lawyer, later a "healer" specialized in smoking — freed more than 15,000 smokers in 25 years with a 70% success rate. Among his clients: King Hussein of Jordan, Shimon Peres, Maurizio Costanzo, Mariangela Melato. His method derived from Hermann Michel, a Swiss magnetist.

2. Tinnitus (auricular tinnitus) — Metodo Di Pisa

From Di Pisa's book, chapter 6: "Hypnosis in psychosomatic disorders":

"Generally of psychological origin, 'auricular tinnitus' is nothing but an accentuated vibration of the ear determined by stress states. As in the previous case, the relaxation technique is used."

Tinnitus falls into the category of psychosomatic disorders in which emotionality amplifies or generates the symptomatology. Deep hypnotic relaxation reduces the activation level of the central nervous system, lowering the perception of background noise.

Average number of sessions: four to six.

3. Muscle pain, tension, arthritis

The ISI-CNV document "Magnetism for balance and harmony" explicitly places:

"Neuromuscular pains and tensions, arthritis, tinnitus → Metodo Di Pisa"

From the book (chapter on pain and analgesia), Di Pisa describes the technique for pain from herpes zoster as an example of an approach to nerve inflammation pain:

"You will feel more and more at ease... without tension, anxiety... You will be so relaxed, so comfortable..."

The mechanism is that of direct suggestion of analgesia — the same technique used for surgical anesthesia, applied to chronic pain. Trance reduces cortical inhibitory activity and interrupts the pain→tension→more pain cycle.

In the tradition of the Paret Method, these principles are integrated with the understanding of catalepsy as activation of the parasympathetic system: deep states of relaxation produce vagal responses that reduce inflammation and pain in a physiologically verifiable way.

4. Alcoholism — Metodo Di Pisa

Di Pisa's hypnotic method for alcohol is "essentially hypno-magnetic" — it combines hypnotic induction with magnetic sleep. The ISI-CNV document notes: "Di Pisa was extremely capable in curing alcoholics."

From the book, the suggestions:

"Relax comfortably... your desire for alcohol is already disappearing... You don't even remember that alcohol exists... you realize you can replace it with other liquids... You will thus begin to sleep normally... a deep, beneficial, restorative, peaceful sleep, eliminating such a harmful vice... you will definitively abandon alcohol... without effort..."

It concludes with the inverse taste hallucination: having the subject drink wine while saying it is vinegar — the subject rejects it with disgust. This creates a negative unconscious association with alcohol that persists after the session.

Average number of sessions: four.

5. Asthma — Metodo Di Pisa

For asthma — "psychosomatic disorder par excellence" — Di Pisa uses a guided visualization technique with a summer landscape and progressive slowing of breathing:

"It's summer! You are running along a country lane... around you a large meadow, full of red poppies and wheat... you slow your run... Your breathlessness decreases... your breathing calms... you no longer run... your breathing becomes calmer and calmer, slower and slower..."

Average number of sessions: four to six.

6. Hypertension — Metodo Di Pisa

Suggestions of calm, relaxation, quiet, with specific elimination of feelings of anger, resentment, revenge, and rage — the emotions identified as the emotional component of hypertension. Number of sessions: four.

7. Radio hypnosis for pain — Metodo Di Pisa

One of Di Pisa's original contributions: pain suppression via radio-television suggestions. The five-step protocol:

  1. Describe the effect to be produced
  2. State that it will be achieved
  3. Emphasize that the more the subject tries to resist, the more intense the effect will be
  4. State that the effect gradually occurs
  5. State that at "three" it will be achieved

Di Pisa's radio text included: "All listeners suffering from diarthrosis, pain in various parts of the body: knees, head, shoulders, arms, feet; muscle atrophy, paresis not resulting from cerebral hemorrhage, angina pectoris, breast nodules, disorders of any kind, are invited to participate..."

The general principle: mind over body

The most important sentence of Di Pisa's therapeutic chapter, summarizing the entire philosophy:

"Your mind has enormous control over your body."

This is not a metaphor but a verified physiological mechanism. Morselli and Tanzi in 1889 had already demonstrated with pulse and respiration measurements that suggestion produces real organic effects, equivalent to those of induced physical conditions. Trance is not "positive thinking" — it is a neurological state in which the prefrontal cortex loosens inhibitory control and the body's self-regulation mechanisms become accessible to direct suggestion.

Documented anecdotes

In his book L'Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta Di Pisa reports concrete cases. An executive who became impotent after a single consultation with a well-known psychiatrist — who had pointed out the "castrating figure of the parent" — was restored to normalcy in six sessions: Di Pisa retraced his career "like a film, in reverse" up to the trauma, avoiding paralyzing interpretation. A young Venetian executive with a phobia of public speaking, son of a "dictator-dogmatic father with a raised finger," was cured in seven sessions; decisive, Di Pisa notes, was the relationship: the patient "saw me as kind, caring, non-judgmental... like a brother." A bar owner with an ear buzzing for eight months, who had been offered surgical destruction of the cochlea, saw the symptom yield with hypnotic relaxation alone.
