Touches: Directive/Blocking/Caressing is a technique of the Paret Method in the non-verbal communication category. It is a diagnostic-therapeutic protocol based on three modes of physical contact that activate different mental states depending on laterality and applied intention.

Definition

In the Paret method, touch is not a random gesture but a precisely calibrated tool of fascination and magnetism. The three-touch technique represents three vectors of influence: the directive touch pushes the mind toward a volitional state; the blocking touch stops mental or behavioral processes; the caressing touch dissolves defenses and accesses states of deep receptivity. Each touch activates different neurological and symbolic archetypes based on the stimulated body hemisphere.

When to use

  • Rapid diagnosis of the subject's suggestibility state and defenses
  • Non-verbal and pre-verbal hypnotic induction, especially in contexts of conscious resistance
  • State modulation during sessions with hieratic presence or quantum techniques
  • Access to somatic memories and dissociated patterns blocked in the musculature
  • Calibration of the therapeutic relationship at the first moment of contact

Components and steps

  1. Directive touch (push): Typically applied to the subject's right arm or shoulder, it communicates command and paternal symbolism (authority, direction, will). Activates frontal lobes and states of compliance.
  2. Blocking touch (stop): Sustained pressure on a specific point, generally the right side. Creates micro-trance and inhibits automatic reactions, preparing for suggestion.
  3. Caressing touch (dissolution): Fluid and left-sided movement, maternal symbolism (reception, regression, openness). Breaks down protections and accesses pre-conscious levels.
  4. Reading the somatic response: Observation of micro-expressions, breathing, pupils post-touch
  5. Lateralized repetition: Application on the left hemisphere to verify activation of maternal symbolism and different neurological response
  6. [to be confirmed by Marco]: Exact sequence and timing among the three touches in advanced protocols

Distinctions

  • vs classical tactile hypnosis: In the Paret method, the goal is not relaxation but activation of symbolic archetypes and rapid access to non-ordinary states with a therapeutic-diagnostic intent.
  • vs NLP - Anchoring: Paret does not anchor positive states but pours magnetic intention; touch is a vector of presence, not a mnemonic trigger.

Notes

  • The directive touch on a dominant subject may generate resistance: in that case, proceed with a blocking touch and subsequently a caressing touch.
  • Laterality (right/left) is not arbitrary: it reflects the neuropsychobiological model of the Paret method.
  • Contraindicated in subjects with unresolved tactile trauma; verify medical history.
