Balkan International Academy Foundation
The Balkan International Academy Foundation (Bulgarian: Фондация „Балканска международна академия“) is a Bulgarian public benefit foundation for research and education in the social sciences and humanities. It organises symposia, conferences, seminars and publications, and leads the Mesmerismus Research Institute.

Activity
The foundation's purpose is education and research, carried out through symposia, conferences, seminars and publications. It also takes part in European projects co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
Mesmerismus Research Institute
The foundation's research is carried out by the Mesmerismus Research Institute, which studies non-verbal hypnosis with two resources: the Magnetic Library and the Audiovisual Observatory.
Governance
The foundation is directed by Dr. Marco Paret; the scientific committee is being formed. The foundation's research is kept separate from the teaching the director carries out through other organisations, and its results are published openly, with data and methods.
