Privacy notice – book download and Wiki access

This notice explains what data we collect when you request the book Erminio Di Pisa, Master of Instant Fascination by Prof. Dr. Marco Paret, or access to the Wiki of the Paret Method Research Project, and how we use it (EU Regulation 2016/679, Art. 13).

What data

• First name, last name and email address you enter in the form.
• Chosen language, the page you came from, date and time of the request and of your consent.
• Technical data: shortened IP address (the last part is deleted), browser type; technical cookies that remember your access.
• If you sign in with Google: the name, email and identifier Google sends us.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To send you the access code and the book and to open the Wiki for you: this is the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To send you updates from the School (new books, articles, seminars, courses): based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us; withdrawing does not remove access to the book you have already downloaded.
• Security and aggregate statistics on the use of the site (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest).

Who processes the data on our behalf

Technical providers acting as processors: server hosting in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH), email delivery and storage of requests (Google: Gmail, Google Sheets), newsletter delivery (the School's email marketing platforms). Some providers may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the Regulation (standard contractual clauses). Your data is never sold or passed to third parties for their own purposes.

How long

For as long as you stay subscribed to updates; if you withdraw consent or ask for erasure, your data is deleted within 30 days, except for the bare record that consent was given and withdrawn. Technical security data is kept for at most 12 months.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data and object to processing by writing via www.marcoparet.com/contact-us. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Bulgaria the Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg), or the authority of the country where you live.

Providing first name, last name and email is necessary to receive the book; without them we cannot send you the access code.
