Erminio Di Pisa (1942–2002) was the Milanese master of instant fascination: with his gaze alone, in a few seconds, he took away pain from people who were wide awake – on stage, on radio and on television. Prof. Dr. Marco Paret, his direct student, reconstructs his life, the lineage that links him to the Belgian fascinator Donato, and his method: the gaze at the root of the nose, instant hypnosis, “eyes-open” hypnosis, physical magnetism and the “higher hypnosis” of the Settenario. The words of his books, the recordings of RAI and Telelombardia and the memories of those who knew him bring back a master who could turn a restaurant table or a Milan street into the setting of a memorable demonstration.
