The Ball of Light Technique (Boule de Lumière) is a rapid therapeutic technique of the Paret Method derived from the corpus of Prof. Di Pisa. It combines fascination, guided visual imagery, and magnetism to reduce pain in a few steps.
It derives from the Television Technique: same principle, streamlined version for the clinical setting.
The operational sequence
- "Hand on the painful point. Look at me. Imagine a ball coming from above bringing you warmth. The warmth goes to the painful point. [Operator:] Remove the hand. Close and open your eyes. How are you?"
- — Dr. Marco Paret, Ball of Light Exercise — Boule de Lumière Di Pisa
- Physical contact on the point (subject's hand, then also operator's)
- Eye contact — look at me: opens the fascination channel
- Guided visualization: ball of warmth from above descending onto the point
- Abrupt awakening: close and open your eyes — immediate verification
The formula
- "Énergie + Désir de bien faire = Résultat."
- — Erminio Di Pisa, quoted by Marco Paret
Applications
- Muscle tension, localized pain, headaches
- Movement difficulties, arthritis
- Tinnitus
