The Fascination Technique in the Di Pisa Method is the core of the hypnotic gaze of Prof. Di Pisa. It is based on a precise and absolute rule: the gaze never blinks, and it is not directed at the subject's eyes but at the root of the nose.

The absolute rule: do not blink

"You must absolutely master it, because the absolute success in fascination tests depends exclusively on this. Some authors do not hesitate to state that any movement of the hypnotist's eyelids completely cancels the effect already produced."
— Erminio Di Pisa, L’Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta

The gaze at the root of the nose

"When the hypnotist fixes a subject, do not think he looks into their eyes: he directs his gaze to the root of the nose, between the two eyes, and keeps them fixed and still, avoiding any blinking. It is the subject who must look the operator in the eyes. Never tell the uninitiated that you are not looking into their eyes."
— Erminio Di Pisa, L’Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta

This point is fundamental: the operator looks at the root of the nose (third eye), not the eyes. The subject looks at the operator's eyes. The asymmetry amplifies the effect.

Fascination in conversation

"The gaze produces in people you fix at the root of the nose the phenomenon of fascination, i.e., suggestion. In this way, during a simple conversation, you can influence an uninitiated person without them realizing it."
— Erminio Di Pisa, L’Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta

The smile and adaptation

"It is not necessary to widen your eyes or assume a grim look; Master Caravelli influenced the most rebellious subjects by smiling. It is also true that with certain subjects it is advantageous to open your eyes as wide as possible to achieve fascination more quickly."
— Erminio Di Pisa, L’Ipnosi dalla A alla Zeta

Training exercises

Di Pisa prescribes daily exercises:

  1. Fix a point without blinking for 15 minutes, gradually increasing
  2. Do not blink while reading and writing
  3. Mirror exercises with a suggestive formula
