Channels and Amplifying (complete procedure) is a technique of the Paret Method in the hieratic-hermetic methods category that allows identifying, amplifying, and transforming the sensory and relational channels through which the symptom or pattern manifests, following the natural flow of energy without verbal interpretation.

Definition

Channels and Amplifying represents the hierarchical evolution of the Paret methodology based on mapping the six channels of experience: visual, auditory, proprioception, kinesthesia, relationship, and world. The technique allows tracing the natural path of a symptom through these channels, amplifying its expression to the point of saturation, to facilitate the spontaneous emergence of resolution and integration without the need for cognitive interpretation.

When to use

  • Somatic symptoms without a clear diagnostic label
  • Recurring patterns requiring transformation through multiple channels
  • Work in presence-based and non-verbal hypnosis
  • Contexts where the client needs direct experience rather than verbal insight
  • Acceleration of therapeutic processes in short or intensive sessions
  • Dissociations and hieratic phenomena requiring multisensory re-anchoring

Components and steps

  1. Identification of the active channel: Recognize which channel (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, proprioceptive, relational, world) is primarily involved in the symptom's manifestation
  2. Systematic amplification: Approach the phenomenon, bring out its details, allow the client to teach through the flow; even thought can be amplified as a sensory phenomenon
  3. Channel change for saturation: When a channel reaches saturation (e.g., auditory voice), naturally transition to the next channel (visual: who produces that voice? → relational: what relationship? → bodily: where in the body?)
  4. Follow without explaining: Do not interpret the symptom verbally; follow the movement, the image, the sensation until it autonomously shows the direction of resolution
  5. Gestural and verbal completion: Wait for the natural gesture of completion, then crystallize into a clean sentence that integrates the experience

Ultra-Short Version (20-40 seconds)

Stop → I feel in the body → Amplify → Congruent image emerges → Completed gesture → Clean sentence

Distinctions

  • vs Focusing: Channels and Amplifying is hieratic and non-verbal; Focusing remains narrative-introspective
  • vs traditional Process Work: Paret integrates quantum principles and presence; eliminates continuous verbal feedback
  • vs Ericksonian Hypnosis: Channels and Amplifying does not use indirect suggestion; allows total autonomy of the sensory flow

Notes

  • Common mistake: Verbally interpreting during amplification interrupts the flow; maintain presence-based silence
  • Saturation as gateway: Changing channels is not a failure but a natural evolution of the process
  • Quantum applicability: The technique assumes that the presence-based observer influences the field; energetic neutrality is a prerequisite
