Animal Magnetism - Scientific Approach (Training Manual) is a technique of the Paret Method in the magnetismo category that reinterprets personal magnetism as a non-verbal energetic phenomenon, based on body awareness, the transmission of presences, and the reactivation of deep perceptual sensitivity.

Definition

In the Paret method, animal magnetism is not interpreted according to the historical Mesmeric model of the classical unconscious, but rather as a non-verbal vital force activatable through awareness of the nerve plexuses, conscious contact with nature, and the development of sensitivity as an operational key. The technique integrates elements of Quantum PSI – understood as quantum energetic awareness – to generate attraction, fascination, and deep influence without recourse to verbal language. The Od/fluid, a historical term from Mesmerismus®, is reinterpreted as a phenomenon of transmitting states of bodily presence and energetic coherence.

When it is used

  • Development of non-verbal hypnotic presence
  • Construction of interpersonal fascination
  • Energetic protection and bodily grounding
  • Work with traumatized clients without the obligation of verbalization
  • Activation of perceptual sensitivity as a communicative bridge
  • Training in personal magnetism and conscious attraction

Components and steps

  1. Armor of Light: Protection and strengthening technique that reconfigures body awareness and the projection of presence
  2. Mirror exercises: Reshaping self-perception and non-verbal projection towards others
  3. Breathing and projection of presence: Activation of vital force through respiratory cycles and grounding in the plexuses
  4. Contact with the solar plexuses: Direct work on nerve centers as localizers of energy and fascination
  5. Quantum PSI Fusion-Defusion: Exercises for conscious integration/disintegration of bodily energetic light
  6. Olhar hipnótico e connessione istantanea: Non-verbal transmission techniques through the gaze and coherence of the personal energetic field

Distinctions

  • vs Historical Mesmerismus®: Paret abandons the model of passive magnetic fluid, reinterpreting magnetism as a conscious and quantum phenomenon rooted in the nerve plexuses and active sensitivity
  • vs Classical Hypnosis: The technique does not necessarily resort to formal trance or verbal suggestions; it operates through non-verbal presences and coherent bodily states
  • vs Bandler's NLP: Emphasizes the body and nerve plexuses as transmission centers, not just representational systems or standard neurophysiology

Courses where it is taught

  • Magnetism Short Course - Animal Magnetism Practical Scientific Approach (fundamental course)
  • Programa tres días Belo Horizonte – Day 1: "The Magnetic Path"; Day 2: "The Path of Power" (hypnotic gaze and deep influence)
  • [[to be confirmed by Marco] – other courses and advanced modules]

Notes

  • The technique requires conscious development of the nerve plexuses and is not purely suggestive: the operator must enter a state of real energetic coherence
  • [to be confirmed by Marco] – Specific applications in trauma, phobias, and emotional blocks without verbalization
  • Common mistake: confusing magnetic presence with external charisma; in Paret, it is a phenomenon rooted in deep bodily sensitivity and awareness of the energetic field

Polyvagal reading

The central intuition of Mesmer's animal magnetism — the existence of an influence that passes from one living system to another through proximity, gaze, contact, and coordinated intention — finds today in Stephen Porges's Polyvagal Theory a precise physiological grammar. What Mesmer called magnetic fluid corresponds, in contemporary language, to the set of safety signals that activate the subject's ventral vagus through neuroception — the automatic, pre-conscious evaluation that the nervous system makes of another nervous system.

The expert magnetizer establishes a field in which the prosody of the voice, the stability of posture, the predictable rhythm of breathing, and the quality of the gaze constitute a coherent safety signal that the subject's system registers without passing through consciousness. This is the same co-regulation that Porges describes as the basis of the mammalian bond: the subject's heart rate, muscle tone, and breathing organize in resonance with the operator's regulated system.

The 19th-century tradition documented effects that the science of the time could not explain and that early psychoanalysis had set aside as "suggestion." Contemporary neuroscience recognizes them as precise and measurable effects of autonomic co-regulation. Polyvagal theory does not reduce magnetism to vagal reflexes — magnetic observation includes dimensions (relationship, symbol, intention) that physiology does not exhaust — but provides the bridge that allows magnetism to enter into dialogue with science without dissolving its two-century operational tradition.
