Symbol Work integrates the hermetic principle of symbolic correspondence with mirror work techniques proper. The technique exploits the representative and vibratory power of the symbol as an intermediary between conscious intention and the activation of the individual's mental, emotional, and physical spheres. As a fundamental principle of the Paret method, the symbol is not merely representative, but operative: it contains within itself a transformative force capable of acting on the three dimensions of the human being (pneuma, psyche, soma).
